Texas Instruments names Steve Lambouses vice president of battery management solutions

DALLAS (February 22, 2013) – Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NASDAQ:TXN) today announced Steve Lambouses has been elected a vice president of the company. As vice president and general manager of TI’s battery management solutions, Lambouses leads TI’s worldwide strategy and operations in this fast growing area.

“We continue to see a growing demand for innovative technologies that effectively manage batteries used in portable consumer electronics, industrial and automotive applications,” said Sami Kiriaki, senior vice president of power management. “Steve’s abilities and expertise as both an engineer and manager of various product lines give him a diverse background that will continue to help the company grow this area of business.”

Lambouses joined TI in 1997 and has held several positions within the company, most recently as general manager of battery management solutions. He has also served as a product line manager of high cell count solutions and notebook solutions.  

Lambouses earned a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Western New England College (now Western New England University), in Springfield, Massachusetts.
