ObjectVideo's software provides intelligent capabilities for video products by automatically monitoring video 24/7. Hikvision, utilizing ObjectVideo's software will introduce a new suite of intelligent video products for new markets and will further extend their leadership position in existing markets.
"This is great win for ObjectVideo and an important win in Asia. Hikvision's goal to establish itself as the premier vendor of intelligent video products in the Asia-Pacific region is now uniquely enabled by its decision to embed ObjectVideo's analytics into a wide variety of its devices," said Brian Eckert, vice president of sales and marketing of ObjectVideo. "As part of this partnership, our team is working closely with Hikvision on product integration options that will best position the company and its product line."
Hikvision formed a strategic partnership with WPG System and ObjectVideo to build differentiated, market-leading video applications. Analytics will be incorporated into a broad array of Hikvision's products utilizing the TI DSP-based technology. These products will be marketed throughout Asia, the U.S. and the rest of the world.
"Hikvision was able to enhance their products with the highly-valuable functionality of ObjectVideo's video analytics, by building on TI's programmable and flexible DSP-based platform," said Eldon Teng, Director of DSP/MCU Business Development, TI Asia. "This collaboration of market leaders has provided us with a unique opportunity to fully understand and fulfill the needs of the video surveillance market."
On WPG System's partnership with Hikvision, Barry Lin, managing director of WPG System, expressed his optimism, "ObjectVideo's technology is proven world-class and is currently embedded in the devices of some of the world's best known video surveillance product brands.
