TI names Katrina Welch vice president

DALLAS (March 12, 2008) – Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) announced today Katrina Welch has been elected TI vice president and tax director.

In this role, Welch manages TI’s corporate tax department and is responsible for overseeing TI’s federal, state, and international tax, as well as tax accounting and sales and property tax. Welch joined TI two years ago as tax counsel and compliance director, advising TI operations on tax consequences of transactions and leading the company’s compliance team in accurate and timely tax filings. Prior to TI, she was the tax director for Kaneb Pipe Line Partners.

"Katrina is a proactive leader, who is very knowledgeable about taxation and its challenges,” said Beth Bull, TI vice president and treasurer. “Her extensive experience, coupled with her energy and enthusiasm, will enable TI to continue to enhance our reporting, compliance, and global tax initiatives."

Welch obtained her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Law in Taxation from Southern Methodist University, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.
