TI Named Top Semiconductor Company on FORTUNE Magazine’s 2005 Most Admired List

Feb 28, 2005

DALLAS, (February 28, 2005) -- For the second straight year, Texas Instruments (TI) has been named the most admired company in the semiconductor industry according to Fortune’s annual survey. To compile the list, researchers asked the top managers at 582 of the largest companies across 65 industry sectors to judge their competition. In all, 10,000 executives, directors, and securities analysts rated the companies on eight attributes: innovation, social responsibility, quality management, long-term investment and quality of product/services. TI earned the number one or two position in each category. TI was also ranked number seven for quality of products and services across all industries.

"This is a very nice honor, especially since the judges are our competitors," said Steve Leven, senior vice president and Human Resources manager. "Obviously the focus we put on our customers, our products and our employees is helping us lead the way in the industry."

The Most Admired Companies listing, in the March 7 edition of Fortune, will be available on newsstands February 28. The listing is available online now at www.fortune.com by subscription.
