TI names Alan C. Boyd vice president and director of financial reporting

DALLAS (March 5, 2009) – Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today announced that Alan C. Boyd has been elected vice president & director of financial reporting. In this role, Boyd develops and maintains the integrity of TI's financial reporting process and financial controls and ensures that all transactions comply with US GAAP.

"Alan's extensive financial and accounting experience will make him a vital asset to TI," said Charles R. Miller, vice president and controller. "His global insights and deep understanding of TI's business will make him an instrumental addition to the team."

Boyd joined TI in 1986 and most recently served as public reporting manager, where he prepared public financial statements including annual reports and 10-Ks. Boyd has also served as finance director for TI Philippines, where he led the financial function for the subsidiary.

Boyd is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Journalism and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
