National's Booth to Be One-Stop Showcase of Breakthrough IA Products Company Executive to Outline Future Direction of Information Appliances

November 8, 2000 - National Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: NSM), the leading provider of information appliance (IA) technology solutions, will showcase the world's best information appliances enabled by National's popular Geode? technology at Comdex/Fall 2000.  Michael Polacek, vice president of National's Information Appliance division, will share the company's vision of what next-generation information appliances mean to a rapidly growing number of Web surfers worldwide.

Among the IA products to be showcased at National's booth are 3Com's Audrey? Internet appliance, Compaq's iPAQ? IA-2 Home Internet Appliance and Honeywell's wireless WebPAD? appliance.  In addition, AOLTV, Dell, Ericsson, IBM, Legend, Metricom, Network Computing Devices, ViewSonic, Virgin, VTech, and Wyse will join National to showcase their newest information appliances powered by National's Geode technology.  National will also display its latest in Bluetooth?, HomeRF and networking technologies.
