National Semiconductor Showcases a Wide Range of Analog Technologies at Computex 2003

HONG KONG – September 9, 2003 – National Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: NSM) will demonstrate its latest analog solutions at Booth G238 of A21, Hall 3 during Computex 2003, September 22 to 26.

Visitors will see state-of-the-art analog technologies as well as electronic devices powered by National’s analog components.  Demos will include the latest health monitoring solution for PC manufacturers, manageability and security technologies for computing devices; Gigabit switch for telecommunications infrastructure; flat panel display for TVs, monitors and handsets; Bluetooth™ wireless technology, lighting and battery management and better sound solutions for portable devices.

National will also hold two industry briefings on September 24 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Taipei.

As CPUs pass the 2GHz mark, heat dissipation and health monitoring become major issues for PC manufacturers.  To address these concerns, National will host an industry briefing titled “Innovative Health Monitoring Design for Computing Devices."  The briefing session will be at 10:00am on September 24 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Taipei. 

Another briefing session, "Bluetooth technology roams every part of our lives: bringing numerous application and business opportunities", is scheduled at 11 a.m.  It will discuss the multitude of applications now realized by Bluetooth technology to satisfy consumers' needs and the business potential ahead.
