National Semiconductor Showcases Connectivity Products at Telematics Detroit Conference and Exhibition 2004, May 25-26, Booth # 9

  • National Semiconductor will highlight the latest technologies for telematics at Telematics Detroit, 2004.


  • At Telematics Detroit, National will introduce four new connectivity processors for stand-alone and fully integrated handsfree car kits.  National's new connectivity processors integrate Bluetooth® wireless technology, CAN and USB interfaces.

National will feature exciting product and technology demos:

  • Handsfree Car Kit Reference Design
    Reference design features a CLID display, full keypad, incoming call accept/decline and volume control, as well as access of the phone book on selected handsets. 
  • Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit Platform
    Customizable platform based on turnkey Bluetooth development environment.  The platform includes all the software, hardware, tools and support to ensure quick and easy design-in of customized handsfree products. 
  • Turnkey Bluetooth Development Environment
    A complete development environment for full prototyping of embedded Bluetooth applications.  Includes hardware development boards; a fully licensed compiler; a debugger; drivers for all interfaces and embedded peripherals; a license-free Bluetooth stack; Bluetooth profiles in source code; and an embedded real-time operating system.
