National Semiconductor Appoints Jennifer J. Bleakney Vice President, Worldwide Distribution and Customer Support

April 1, 2008 – National Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE:NSM) announced today it has appointed Jennifer J. Bleakney as vice president of worldwide distribution and customer support.  Bleakney will be responsible for the development and execution of National’s channel marketing and distribution asset management strategy.  She will also oversee National's worldwide Customer Support Centers which provide front-line support for National's distributor partners and global customers.

Bleakney joins National from Maxim Integrated Products Inc. where she served as executive director of worldwide distribution.  Previously, Bleakney held management positions in sales and marketing at International Rectifier Corp. serving most recently as vice president of business development.  Prior to that, she spent 17 years at Future Electronics in product marketing and strategic business development.
