TI recognized again among world's '100 Best Corporate Citizens'

Mar 3, 2011

DALLAS, March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the ninth time, Texas Instruments (TI) Incorporated was named among the top corporate citizens by Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine. In today's announcement of the 12th annual "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list, TI was ranked 26th, up from 33rd last year.

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List is based on more than 360 data points of publicly-available information and ranks the large-cap Russell 1000® companies on their performance in seven categories: environment, climate change, human rights, philanthropy, employee relations, financial performance and governance. The closely-watched list has gained national recognition as an indicator of best practices in the area of social responsibility.

"TI works hard to operate responsibly because we believe that is integral to our long-term success," said Trisha Cunningham, TI's chief citizenship officer. "This list is a top annual recognition of outstanding corporate citizenship performance and is testament of our commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship."

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List, first published in 1999 by Business Ethics Magazine, is the most-recognized corporate responsibility ranking based on publicly-available information. The list is compiled by environmental, social and governance investor data firm IW Financial.

TI provides a detailed annual report of its corporate citizenship activities on the company's website at www.ti.com/csr. TI's 2010 report is due to be made public in late May this year. The comprehensive report underscores the company's continued commitment to stellar citizenship and transparency in operations. It is used by a variety of stakeholders, including customers, analysts and shareholders, to understand TI's social and environmental performance as well as future risks and opportunities.

The complete 100 Best Corporate Citizens list will be published on www.thecro.com.
