Texas Instruments names Cecelia Smith vice president and general manager of Mixed Signal Automotive

DALLAS, March 8, 2011 - Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE:TXN) today announced that Cecelia Smith, general manager of Mixed Signals Automotive, has also been elected a vice president of the company. Smith is responsible for the operation of the Mixed Signal Automotive business unit, including setting its strategies and goals. She will lead the international organization to define new products and execute product and business development, as well as build strong customer relationships with management, engineering, and sales across the globe.

"Cecelia has shown great leadership in several of TI's business units," said Dave Heacock, senior vice president and manager of High Volume Analog & Logic.  "Her drive allows her to deliver the best products and solutions to customers in the automotive market while continually improving TI's overall business development."

Smith joined TI in 1996 and has held a number of positions with the company, including general manager of both the Storage Products Group and the Integrated Signal Chain Solutions. Most recently, Cecelia served as the general manager for the Mixed Signal Automotive business unit. She oversaw the product and business development of a business unit which represents over $400 million in sales revenue with a focus on gaining share in the automotive market.

Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State University.
