Texas Instruments names Markus Perger Vice President of Advanced Low Power Solutions in Europe

DALLAS (February 15, 2012) – Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NASDAQ:TXN) today announced that Markus Perger has been elected a vice president of the company. In his role, Perger is responsible for driving revenue growth and managing profit and loss responsibilities for the Advanced Low Power Solutions (ALPS) business unit. In addition, he oversees product development of DC/DC converters for portable and battery-powered equipment in the consumer and communications space.

Perger joined TI in 1995 as a product marketing engineer and has held a number of positions in the power management business, including systems engineering manager for portable power management and product line manager for display power. Most recently, Perger served as the general manager of the ALPS business unit.

Perger earned a bachelor of science in electrical engineering at Hochschule Heilbronn in Heilbronn, Germany.
