Texas Instruments names Kim Wong vice president of Signal and Datapath Solutions

DALLAS – Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NASDAQ:TXN) today announced Kim Wong’s election as vice president. As vice president of Signal and Datapath Solutions (SDS), Wong is responsible for leading its strategic business advancement, including managing profit and loss, product development and management, and managing research and development investments that will ensure continuous business growth.

“Kim brings a strong technical background and level of professionalism to his role as a vice president of the company,” said Dave Heacock, senior vice president, TI Silicon Valley Analog. “I’m confident in his abilities to oversee SDS strategy and product development and help amplify its research and development capabilities to help grow TI.”

Wong joined TI in 2011 through the acquisition of National Semiconductor. While at National, Wong worked in the Wireless Division, High Speed Products Division and High Speed Signal Path. At TI, he has served as manager for Signal Path Solutions and most recently as general manager of SDS.  

Wong earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford Executive Institute in Palo Alto, Calif.
